The Simple Woman's Daybook

I came across The Simple Woman's Daybook while reading on of my favorite blogs, Beauty that Moves.  This simple journaling exercise speaks strongly to me this too busy summer...

FOR TODAY
Outside my window...the sunlight is filtering softly through the trees
I am thinking...oh so many things
I am thankful for...finding it easy to remain calm amidst life's storms.
From the kitchen...rather bare...shopping needs to happen soon
I am wearing...pjs
I am creating...more and more space for me
I am going...off to take H to camp soon, then to continue caring for my body by exercising
I am reading...The French Gardener
I am hoping...to hold onto this grounded calm feeling
I am hearing...birds outside my window and the sound of traffic
Around the house... manageable chaos
One of my favorite things...quiet mornings
A few plans for the rest of the week:playing with H more, more exercise!, workday tomorrow, "Lillie's Purple Plastic Purse on Saturday."
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...groundedness

I am definitely going to do this too. Maybe it will be my journal entry for later on today! Happy Thursday!

I love this simple exercise and the new (very sorry if I'm wrong about this) look of the blog. Beautiful. Do you mind if I send a link to your blog and the one you got the exercise from to a blogger friend who writes about creativity? Here's a link to her terrific, inspiring blog. http://stranglingmymuse.wordpress.com/2010/08/14/coloring-creativity/

So guess what? My friend Sandy featured your exercise (from the source you cited) on her blog today.
